Spring time may seem like the best option because the holidays are over, the weather is warmer, and you just got your tax return! That sounds perfect! But what about those April showers? While the show can still go on with a little bit of rain, the extra moisture in the air can cause bloating of materials, muddy floors which could put your crew in danger, and not to mention the mess. Plus you probably have a trip or two scheduled and summer is right around the corner, before you know it your kids are going to be home all day every day and the last thing you want is a house full of kids and strangers all making noise at the same time. 

Winter may be a good option if you don’t host any holidays, but even then the cold can add a new challenge to a renovation and getting supplies in your home may be more difficult. Add all of that on top of the already stressful holidays. If you can spare some time in winter, it could be a fantastic time for small renovations. Most people choose to avoid winter renovations because of the stress which means that most contractors will have plenty of availabilities in the colder months! So if you don’t host for the holidays and your renovation is completely indoors, consider scheduling your remodel during the winter!
